We have received investment from Toppan Photomask Co., Ltd.
Cellid Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Minato-Ku, CEO: Satoshi Shiraga, hereinafter referred to as’Cellid’ ) announces that in May 2023 it received investment from Toppan Photomask Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Minato-ku, hereinafter referred to as’TPC’). Including investments from Tokyo Electron Ltd. the total amount raised is 1.58 billion yen.
In the near future, as AR glasses become more prevalent, display will change from 2D to 3D, ushering a new era of hands-free computing, where users can access computers through glasses. Cellid is on a mission to make information tools more accessible to humans, provide unparalleled convenience, and inspire possibilities and excitement for mankind.
Cellid's display module has a wide field of view, high efficiency and resolution through its unique design using AI and nanotechnology. With the funds raised, Cellid will enhance its production capabilities, establish quality control system, accelerate process development, and advance the development and sale of software, including "Model Builder."
In the future, Cellid will collaborate with TPC on joint projects for the development and establishment of production systems for waveguides.
