Investment Received from SMBC Nikko Securities Inc.
Cellid Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Minato-Ku, CEO: Satoshi Shiraga, hereinafter referred to as「Cellid」), announces that in October 2023, it received an investment from SMBC Nikko Securities Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Chiyoda-ku, President and CEO: Yuichiro Kondo). Including investment undertaken from undisclosed investors in September, the total accumulated amount raised is 2.28 billion yen.
In the future, as AR glasses become widespread, an era will arrive where instant access to information about everything seen by the eye will be possible, and we will be able to receive hands-free computer support. We will lead the realization of AR glasses through our display modules equipped with thin and immersive Waveguides, and spatial recognition performed by Cellid SLAM. With this round of capital funding, we will promote the establishment of mass production and quality control systems, accelerate process development, and move forward with the development and sales of software, including Model Builder.
